Dwyane Wade Returns To Miami Heat For 16th And Final Season

After leaving his status for the 2018-19 season up in the air for a while ex Heat, Bulls, & Cavs shooting guard Dwyane Wade finally made his decision yesterday. The man who’s guaranteed to be a hall of famer decided that he would play for Miami during this upcoming season. The team reportedly signed Wade to a 1-year deal for the veteran minimum, although the exact details haven’t been revealed.

This season would be Wade’s 16th season in the NBA and 15th with Miami. The shooting guard spent the 2016-17 season with his hometown team the Chicago Bulls and spent part of the 2017-18 season on the the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded back to Miami later in the season. His latest season with the team wasn’t his best as he was used in a smaller role, similar to the way the Cavs used him. This usage caused Wade to have his worst statistical season with him averaging 11.6 points per game. The 3 time NBA champion is the team’s all time leader in points, free throws, field goals made, double figure scoring efforts, steals and much, much more.

This season looks to be an emotional one for Heat fans everywhere is this is Wade’s last go with the team. Luckily the East looks to be more open this year as Lebron has taken his talent over west by signing with the Lakers earlier this year so there’s the possibility that the Heat can make a deep playoff run.
