Cavs May Have Shaken Up The East With The Kyrie Irving Trade

Holy shit! Oh man god damn! It’s not often a team purposely parts ways with it’s young franchise player, but that’s what the Boston Celtics have done by trading PG Isaiah Thomas to the Cavaliers in exchange for All-star Kyrie Irving. The Cavs did get two other players (Jae Crowder & Ante Zizic ) along with an unprotected 2018 first round pick via the Brooklyn Nets.

It’s been rumored that a hip injury may have lead the Celtics hand during this trade. In Boston Irving will team up with ex Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. While Thomas will be tearing up with the king himself, J.R Smith, & Kevin Love. This trade may have made the Celtics an even more dangerous threat in the Eastern Conference due to the fact that Irving is a score first player. Earlier in the summer it was rumored that two of the teams that Irving wanted to be traded to were the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat. Both teams have missed out but luckily Boston seems to be a better fit.
